SSSSLEDDDING!!!

SUPER FUN SUPER FAST. We found a great hill over by Blacksmith Fork Canyon for sledding. The boys sure ran up that hill a lot today. Their legs were shaking they did it so many times. Jon made them a good jump. Not too much air... just the right amount of launch with a soft landing. Check out my camera work! (the pics of the sky are just because I thought the clouds were cool - and on the way out the sunset was neato over the wellsvilles)

ELK ELK ELK ELK (2) !!!

We stayed at the hill at the beginning of Blacksmith Fork Canyon until Don and Van came out with their ELK they shot today. They got 2 in the same afternoon. Sweet.

Braden's Chukker

We hit the mountains today (and yesterday, and the day before), but today Braden took his 12-gauge shotgun and hiked ALL OVER the mountain in super deep snow til he was pooped and finally came down for lunch. While he was sitting there eating a sandwich, about 20 of them flew overhead and landed under a tree RIGHT NEXT to us. He shook his head, stood up and shot two. Ha.

One Horse Open Sled

This is one of the fun times Braden has Lexi out training her to do something new. She, of course, did great. Braden's arm got really tired.

Igloo Fun

Jon and the boys had some fun today making igloos. Check out Jon's "jolly-green-giant waders he was wearing. Apparently Santa should have brought him some snowpants since he can't find them anywhere. Hmmm.

Christmas Morn

Ice Machine Gun

Trae and Kort found some cool icicles over at Kaelin's. They brought them home and have been playing with them for a while... who needs video games when you live in the North?

Game Night

Trae chose the game for family night tonight. We all played monopoly jr. We thought it would last about 10 minutes.... but NOOOOO, an hour and fifteen minutes later, we were still playing. It never ended, so we finally put a time limit on it. Trae actually ended up winning, even though in this video, Braden takes his last dollars.

Santa has a Yellow Beard?

My kids said he smelled like Beef and Cheese, but that his beard was real... even though it was kind of yellow....

Oh McFun

Check out this video of Sienna singing Jingle Bells as fast as she can. (she thought she was being cool because she could sing it so quickly) She says "Oh McFun it is to ride..." It's cute!

Kenzi's Halftime

Kenzi is the cutie on the far right of the screen second from the back. They did a great job - this was the State Semi-final Play-off... Braden was dressed on the side-lines. He was used as a tackling dummy at halftime and during warm-ups. He was so proud to be a freshman dressing varsity.

Crazy Cat

Our cute kitty has a biting problem. Anyone know how to fix it? He doesn't realize that he has grown fangs lately. He's still cute, though.

Christmas Rootbeer

These are some pics from the Christmas program the boys put on at the Logan Tabernacle. A Good time was had by all. Trae had his big debut as the drummer in the band. He didn't smile much, but he had a lot of fun and felt proud afterwards. We took him to BlueBird and he picked out cheese cake to take home for his prize for all the hard practice he did this week. The Rootbeer Reunion CD "Plugged-In" was released that night also. It was quite an effort to finish it in time. It's so good.

Heber City Cowboy Gathering 2008

The Boys had a great time entertaining at the schools. The assemblies were in conjunction with Benny Martinez- a trick roper from Mexico. His horse "Admirante" did a good job, too. The horse is a new one because Benny's other one died a little while back.

Veteran's Day

Boy, these songs the kids sang at the elementary school were tear-jerkers. Literally. Man, I can't even watch the video without getting choked up.

We Went Fishing - not much luck...

Fun Party!

We had a ton of fun at our Halloween Carnival this past weekend. The costumes were (as usual) great. We all thought Erik was Inigo Montoya, but I guess he wasn't. Braden looked like he was straight off the "Electric Company" and Monte, Lisa, Brandy, Jeremy all matched as parts of the Scooby Doo Gang. Thanks for coming you all! The food and games were GREAT.

SNOW ?!?

I can't believe we already have an inch of snow. This is nuts. It's not even Halloween yet. If we have another winter like last year's, I am moving to --- somewhere else! Don't get me wrong, winter's good and everything, but only if it follows the rules: Christmas to Valentines day. Outside of that, I'm not thrilled. "Sigh"

We are Recording this WEEK

We have finally found some time to get into the recording studio. You'll all like the new songs. The boys have put together 3 originals and are working on more. They're good (if I do say so myself). This is what our recording studio looks like - this is your sneak-peak...

New Kitten

The other day, we heard frantic mewing down by the river. After investigating, the boys found a kitten with a hurt foot. It appears he had been abandoned. Kort and Trae played with him for so long that he wouldn't leave. It's been 3 days and he's still here... so I guess we'll call him "Kitten" or "Kippur". We had to go to the grocery store to get some kitty food since we don't have any... we haven't had kitties for over a year. Trae is absolutely delighted.

Fall Colors

We went on a picnic up Blacksmith Fork Canyon over Conference weekend. A lot of the leaves had already fallen, but there were a few spots of beautiful color. Watch all the pictures and you'll see the picnic campfire and hotdog roast also. We had a great time. We hadn't been able to "hit" the mountains for a while. Felt GOOD.
