Lagoon !!

I surprised the boys the other day by taking them to Lagoon instead of Crystal Springs. They were excited. We stayed all day and had a marvelous time!

Last Hurrah Before School Starts

I took Trae on a "Day with Mom" last week as a last hurrah before school starts. He is my baby, and he will have to go to 1st grade this year. I'll miss him a ton, but I'm looking forward to a little time to myself for organizing, exercising, and everything else a mom has to do. We went on a FARM day. We went to the Fish Farm first. That was seriously fun. The fish meat was so pink and yummy. Not usually characteristic of fish from a farm. He caught a 2 1/2 pounder. Wow. Then we visited Pepperidge Farms (cookies), then the Ice Cream Farm (Caspers Ice Cream Factory), then we hit the Farmer's Market for fresh corn on the cob (since ours is still not ripe) and potatoes. We then made a super dinner for the rest of the family that evening.
