Happy Canoe Week!

Last look at Shoshone

The river between Shoshone and Lewis Lake was muy muy relaxing. It was probably the highlight of our trip.

These fish were EVERYWHERE in the river. There were thousands of them so close we could bop them on the heads with our paddles- except they wouldn't let us.

Yellowstone -we can't tell you where it is...

We made it out! We didn't smell so good, so we went immediately for a swim in our favorite spot! Whoa my hair is poofy here!

Yellowstone - Part iii

The boys saw this picture of Jon asleep in camp and they all said the smoke under his chair looked a bit "suspicious". ha ha. Jon didn't think it was a very funny comment. :)

We did a really lot of good fishing... seriously. Sight Seeing was, of course -- GREAT.

Top o'the Wellsvilles

We guided some friends to the top of the Wellsvilles last week. It was amazing! Jon and Braden go up there all the time, but this was my first. It was a steep ole hike, but I loved every step. (even though my gortex boots gave me yucky blisters)

We slept at the top sans tent. We had taco soup and smores for dinner. I wish I could put how funny our friends were -- apparently this was their first camping trip! We hiked and hiked. This mountain is in the guiness book of world's records for being the tallest mountain from base to height in the U.S.

We left from Rattlesnake Trail in Sardine Canyon and hiked to the top - slid down the glaciers in garbage bags and slept over. The next day we hiked down the other side. We ended up at my parent's orchard where we gorged ourselves on cherries from the trees. Then we soaked our weary feet at Crystal Springs. It was a lovely little vacation. We sweated our guts out! We decided that not just anyone could take on this venture. We are all in great shape, and it was still pretty crazy!!!

The Fuller Boys - in concert all summer long

These Fuller Boys/rootbeerreunion can really put on a show! This is just a little clip from one of their latest. Reccomend them to your friends if you'd like, they are always up for hire. This particular show was in South Ogden at the opening of the new library. Boy, it was a really nice facility! The Utah Arts Festival proved to have a great audience as well. The various shows we've done this summer have been great! I think the boys'll keep this show going fur shure!

Serious Driver

So, you know my boy Brade,... he's never looked so serious before, has he? He drives us everywhere now. He can't multitask as of yet -- not much talking or singing or... eating while driving. (I tried to give him a bite of a donut and he couldn't keep the wheel straight).... is this how all men drivers start out?????

Blacksmith Fork

As a family, sometimes we just have to get away. Even though our own place is a ton of fun, we like to explore other places and mountains. One of our places is up Blacksmith Fork. The river is great fishing and we can always find ourselves a nice little "nook" to light a fire and relax together. Ahhhh.

Lazy River Fun

We have a little river on our place. My boys like to use it ... a lot. This day, Kort and Trae are floating down it with tubes and a boogie board. You can't pay for entertainment this fun and this close to home!
